A couple weeks ago we went out to Kalona, a little town with a huge Amish influence, and a place we especially appreciate because of its great bakery. It's amazing to see people using a horse and buggy to travel instead of a car, and lighting their shops by a combination of outside light and gas lanterns. Every time we go I appreciate more and more all these little things we do every day, like driving to the store or flipping on a light switch!
