Thanksgiving Part 2

Some pictures from the animal ranch. 

I couldn't believe that both Katie and Aubrey tried the "goat kiss." So nasty. I could barely stand looking at Aubrey's picture long enough to put it up. See how Katie actually has a small space between her and the goat?

Yeah, Aubrey's goat was more forward.

The close up. So. Stinkin. Gross.

The ostriches were crazy. Blake got a little close and they snatched food out of his closed hand, giving him a little cut on his hand. He was totally fine, but traumatized about ostriches. As I type this, he is looking at the pictures saying, "Ostriches are meeeeaaaan, Mom!"

The birds were definitely the favorite, and a great way to finish. Addi even warmed up to them this time which was a big deal for her. 

Thanks so much to my family for coming down, it was a blast and we can't wait to see you guys again!

Thanksgiving Part 1

 Lance was on-call this Thanksgiving, so my family was nice enough to travel down here to spend Thanksgiving with us! It was a blast and a whirlwind three days that we spent making/eating dinner, Black Friday shopping, seeing the lights in Mesa, making a Bahama Bucks stop, going to the animal ranch, and playing lots of "Bang!"

All the girls got their hair curled by Emily--the master of hair-curling. Addi was very excited.

 I love this series of pictures. Emily made these pies and then was explaining to Blake that we were going to eat them after dinner. Obviously Blake didn't listen.

Finally...

Now that it is November (almost December) we are finally enjoying that nice weather during the winter that everyone talks about. Ahhh, those lazy summer winter days where you play outside barefoot and ride bikes...
