Phoenix Temple Open House

We were able to attend the open house for the brand new Phoenix Open House Temple last week. It is such a beautiful place! We're so glad to have a temple a little bit closer to us!

Someone offered to take our picture in front of the temple...it's rare to have a picture of all of us, so we'll take what we can get!

We're looking forward to calling this temple ours for the next year and a half!

Residency

I was asked to take some updated pictures for Lance's residency website, and it made me so grateful we are here in Arizona. The residency only has eight people at a time (two per year), so it is a very close bunch, and such a great group. Lance and I are so lucky to have these wonderful people and their families as friends!

September in Washington

Each year we get three weeks of vacation with Lance. The kids and I try to visit our extended families each Summer, but it's rare when Lance gets to go too! We had been planning this trip to Washington since the beginning of the year.

sorting through rocks with Grandpa...

Lucy and Roxanne were reunited. They are only six weeks apart.

We went to Fort Ebey and hung out at the beach while Tauni was there running with the cross country team

One reason why boys love the woods...sticks everywhere!

Trapped in jail...or a bike rack...

Lance and I were able to take an overnight trip to Leavenworth for our anniversary and leave the kids with our family.  It was perfect because Lance was on call a ton the entire week of our anniversary, so it was the only time we could have spent time together.  I can't believe we've been married 9 years!

We went to the aplet and cotlet factory in Cashmere, and it was actually really fun. They were preparing all their boxes of candy for Christmas shipments to Costco.

Leavenworth is a beautiful, touristy little German town. We spent the day walking through all the shops, trying the gelato and German food. The view could not be beat.
