We are heading to the State Fair next weekend in Des Moines. It is supposed to be "The" Event here in Iowa, so I was getting pretty excited and started to research it a little bit to see how much it would cost, what time it would open, etc. Not only did I find out that well over 1 million people attend the Fair every year, that performers are Reba McIntire, Maroon 5, and Jason Aldean, AND there is a traditional life-sized butter cow sculpture...I found this list. I can't think of anything else they could possible put on a stick. This is amazing. First San Francisco (super city life) then Iowa (super country). I wish I could live there just to really know what it's like. We're excited for pictures of the state fair!
