Camping at Flowing Springs

It all started when we were about 10 minutes from the campsite: a monsoon rolled in. Not a good sign when you're about to camp. The minute we set up the tent, it started raining accompanied by tons of close lightning strikes and thunder. Everyone got in the tent while Lance and I secured the rain fly and got inside as well. We laid there for 1 1/2 hours before realizing that with constant lightning and heavy rain, there was no way we were going to be able to cook over a fire that night. We drove into Payson and ate Pizza at the Pizza Factory, which coincidentally is the same chain as the Pizza Factory in Anacortes. Luckily the next day was not rainy and was much nicer, despite the fact that I started feeling extremely sick.

Ev bringing Lance his (sheathed) knife. Lance is so thrilled that he has a girl who loves everything about camping
Aubrey was so thrilled she was able to enjoy this lovely camping trip with us, and was even more thrilled when she discovered...
...this guy walking past our campsite. So amazingly gross.
A closer look at the guy.

We stopped at this awesome antique shop in Payson on our way out of town.

It may not have been the best camping trip ever, but it was definitely memorable. Honestly though, I will be so glad for the day I don't have to camp near tarantulas!
