We went to Chicago last weekend, and it was so. much. fun! Thanks to name-your-own price on Priceline we were able to get a steal on a hotel downtown and keep our car parked at the hotel all day while we walked around the city. We had never been to Chicago before, and we were so surprised to see what a HUGE city it is. The skyscrapers were amazing, and the city was so clean and nice and beautiful. We honestly loved our visit.
American Girl Doll Store
The excitement of the American Girl Doll store for two little girls...demonstrated right here:
Lego store!
Hershey's Store complete with enormous versions of candy
Window washers...what a SCARY job!
The Bean
Underneath the bean was very cool
family bean picture
The temperature was in the 80's and the girls were walking everywhere in the heat, so we found the first drink we could and the girls drank it down so fast. We always joke that once the straw goes into Addi's mouth don't plan on drinking anymore, it's like a little iv into her system. Notice the concentration.
Weird fountains:
"Getting in the shower"
We were all exhausted for the drive home, but we loved all the Fall leaves and beautiful architecture, and definitely enjoyed our stay. It was a fun way to spend SIX years of being married to best guy in the world, Happy Anniversary Lance!

This looks like so much fun! Isn't kind of crazy to think that you just took your family of 5 to Chicago for your 6th anniversary...and your husband is graduated from school? Wow. Those are some great things to celebrate. Congratulations!
happy anniversary!
Aw Happy Anniversary! Chicago is beautiful! I'm glad to see they've cleaned it up since the 70's (parent's photos). I can totally imagine the girls' excitement in the American Girl Doll store. If only Blake was a little older to realize how awesome that Lego place was...
