Lance had a day off, and we decided to walk over to the splash pad again. This time it was overcast and only 75 degrees, which felt amazing, but the kids got too cold after a few runs through everything. Yes, cold. So we dried them off and headed over to the park section.
We went over to the rock wall to let our little climber Addi try it out.
Evelyn wanted to try the rock wall so bad despite being absolutely terrified of it.
Is it just me or is Addi just a little too happy to see Ev not getting it as fast as her. I think she felt like she was finally the one that was good at something, haha. Being the little sister, she doesn't get that opportunity very often.
Obviously she had good reason, because let's be honest...rock climbing is not Ev's forte:

The thing about Evelyn is that she is determined to succeed. She tried one last time, and cried the whole way up, but she just HAD to make it. It is something I really admire about her.
...and we even got a little smile at the end :)
