Labor Day Weekend

I had been having a hard few weeks, and my very thoughtful husband suggested that we go up to Utah since he had the whole three-day weekend off (even if it meant we would be driving for 20 hours of it). It was absolutely the best. The leaves are already changing and it's so beautiful. I love a lot of things about Arizona, but it definitely doesn't have a 'real' Fall season!

my model sister Emily...obviously all the good looks in our family went to her

It also happened to be my mom's birthday the day we were there! After deciding Swiss Days was way too busy, we went to Park City and did a little outlet shopping for Aubrey's mission before eating Mexican food.

Even though we only had a day with my family, Grandma and Grandpa Taylor got to stop by and say hi.

Addi learned this song in kindergarten and has been singing it in the car nonstop. We heard a lot of it on our long car ride:

We also finally got to meet Clark! Right as we visited Washington this summer, Sheila and Ryan moved to Utah, so he's three months old and we had never met him! Lucy was inspecting him at first and then decided she loved him. I'm sure these two cousins will have a lot of fun in the future!

On our way home, we got stuck in Las Vegas traffic for an hour and a half, and then we stopped for a while because Lance's mom just happened to be there for her sister's wedding! It was extremely lucky, but needless to say we ended up at home at 2 am instead of 11am like we had planned. I had to take this picture of Lucy the next morning: drool and cheerio covered. In her element.
