March

March has been such a busy month and it seems like the time has gone by so quickly. We started off the month by picking all the lemons off our tree and juicing them...most of them were done by this little girl who LOVES doing both the juicing and picking. I don't know how we'll ever go back to regular lemonade after we leave Arizona now that we've been spoiled by the freshly-squeezed stuff!

 Lucy turned 2 months old...

A few weeks later all our family from Utah and Washington came out to visit for Lucy's blessing. I wish I would have taken more pictures...my camera battery actually died right as I pulled out my camera on the first day! We spent Saturday hiking to the Wind Caves, getting Bahama Bucks, and eating Cafe Rio Salad. Sunday was the blessing, then we went on a walk and got to smell all the orange blossoms. And we got to celebrate two birthdays--Lance's dad, and my sister Aubrey! We love love loved having everyone visit!

We call Lucy our little princess because she is so "particular" about everything--how she's held, if the sun is in her eyes, who she wants to be with, etc. She is much more picky than any of our other kids have been. Her moods can basically be described in two pictures:
In this one Princess Lucy is pleased:
In this one Princess Lucy is not pleased:
Unfortunately, she was feeling a little more on the "not pleased" side on the day of her blessing, but her blessing was beautiful nonetheless. She was blessed:

-that she will come to know Jesus Christ through her scripture study, and know Him on a personal basis
-she will have faith to carry her through times of trial
-she will have great strength
-she will always be surrounded by people who love her
-she will be married in the temple
-she will teach her children and prepare them for the Second Coming

Finally after almost three months, Lucy has turned a corner with sleeping longer than four hours and ALL of us are much happier! She especially loves her siblings and will "talk" to them for hours of the day. They are pretty big fans of her as well.

I am 99.9% sure Lucy's first word will be "Hi" after having Blake as a big brother.
("Hiiiiii Lucy, Hiiii. Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...")
