Addi's Birthday and San Francisco

We got back from Utah just in time to celebrate Addi's birthday. We had already celebrated with family in Utah, but still wanted to do candles and cake together. She is so excited to be four and is already counting down to her fifth birthday so she can go to Kindergarten!

We hadn't even unpacked from Utah, when Lance realized he was going to have the entire weekend with no call and it was the same weekend Joe was graduating from dental school. We decided last-minute (as in...the very last minute) to drive up to San Francisco and surprise them. The school called  right as we were heading out the door and asked if Lance would be able to hood his brother at graduation. We were so excited to be able to say he could! We were able to spend all of Saturday and Sunday there--Saturday helping finish up packing/cleaning and Sunday for church and graduation.

It was bittersweet: We were so happy Joe and Sarah were graduating, and I LOVE San Francisco, but at the same time it was weird to know it was the last time we would ever go into "our house" or even probably stay in the Presidio again! It was a quick trip, but we had fun every minute of it. We even got to sneak down to Fisherman's Wharf for a Ghirardelli sundae and to walk along the wharf. It was a weird feeling to walk on the spot where Lance got the phone call he made it into dental school...almost 6 years ago!!! I can't believe how fast time has flown!

We're so excited for them to start life after graduation! Good job, guys, you made it!
