Washington Part 1

We had been counting down for months for our chance to visit Washington, so when the day finally arrived, the the kids could barely contain their excitement. Since we flew out the small airport in Mesa, we were up close and personal with the planes that were taking off...Blake was in heaven and for the entire wait the kids were completely enchanted just by looking out the window.

Lance was still in Arizona for the first week, but we spent plenty of fun time: finding rocks with Grandpa, jumping on the trampoline, playing with trains (constantly for Blake), going to the children's museum, baking Valentine's cookies, going to the park, playing with cousins, chasing Jake and Ellisha's dog Carly (Addi), chainsawing trees down (Lance), having a fire...we have been away from family so long that we were just so glad to be there with everyone, soaking it all in! Thank you everyone so much for letting us spend time with you...time with family is something that we are always starving for, and this was so perfect!

We also got to spend time with our friends from Iowa, the Thuets. And I'm just now realizing that I wish I would have taken a picture with Abby! They did just the right combination of scaring/convincing us to try and practice out on the island when we finish...we will see :)

Documentation that they actually like/play with each other. It has been a 2.5 year process, but we've arrived :)

Blake hardly took a breath at all while using this straw and drank 3 cups of chocolate milk in a row. Just look at the concentration.
I think Addi should consider a career as a librarian. She would be adorable.

You can always count on Ev to photobomb a picture...definitely inherited from her Dad

Both the boys were loving all the manly work there is to do in Washington:

The kids LOVED Carly. Blake kept bringing her bowls of food and telling her to eat. Carly would oblige.
Popular Carly:
Three cute kids
And I love this picture of Blake...nothing like slouching down like in your chair, forgetting your cares, and eating a corn dog. The American Dream.
