Ward Campout and Jerome Ghost Town

The Elders Quorum was in charge of the Ward Campout this year. It was so much fun, and we are already anticipating next years' campout!

Lucy woke up almost every 30 minutes during the night to stand up and look at all of us in the tent with her. I'm not sure if she was just happy to have us all in the same room or what, but she kept saying, "Awwwww..." or "Niiiiiii" (nice) and smiling at us. It was extremely cute, but I also would have preferred to sleep a little more!

All these little kids in our ward LOVE Lucy and she is such a sassy little thing. She will push them right away as soon as they invade her space. Don't mess with this girl
Everything can always be made into gun...

After camping in the morning, we joined our friends the Sargents and headed to Jerome to check out the city and the ghost town. There were some amazing old cars and buildings

It was the day before Evelyn's birthday, and she was determined to find a four-leafed clover when we stopped at a park. And she actually did!

Utah Grandma and Grandpa Visit!

Before Evelyn's Baptism, my family drove out from Utah to spend the week. We spent our days eating, shopping (Nordstrom Last Chance, Downeast), a Diamondbacks Game, and the Wildlife World Zoo. Until I get the pictures off my phone, I only have the ones from the zoo. We LOVE having family visit!

The sting rays were a huge hit

It ended up raining almost the entire time we were there, which was perfect because it stayed a little cooler than normal. All the animals were extremely active and were way more interesting than if they were laying down escaping the heat.  The map did not fare well however

Lucy did NOT enjoy feeding the Lorikeets They were way too close for her taste until she warmed up to them during the last five minutes

 These two...

 "Moooommmmm..."

Evelyn's 8th Birthday

We sure love this girl! I can't believe she's already 8!
